Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre's 2008 Season

 

August 1 – September 20. Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s 2008 Season. Grand Lake. The first of four live theatre shows staged this summer will be “Oklahoma!” The play was first performed in 1943. Paying homage to the great American musical, comedy “Urinetown” makes its debut before audiences in Grand Lake a week later. Next on the program is “Big! The Musical,” which opens July 5. RMRT’s 2008 fall production attempts to answer the question that is the title of the play, “Why Do Fools Fall In Love?”

 

High Country Stampede Rodeo 7/5-8/30

 

July 5, 12, 19, & 26. High Country Stampede Rodeo Silver (HCSR) Anniversary. Fraser. On July 5, 2008, and the next eight Saturdays, the Winter Park Horseman’s Association will present the silver anniversary, High Country Stampede Rodeo at the John Work Arena in Fraser. Nine weeks of exciting rodeo action provided by local and visiting cowboys from across the country and as many as a thousand enthusiastic spectators a night filling the grandstands with cowboy hats, boots and shouts of “Yee Ha! Family Fun Nights bring special entertainment such as wagon rides, pictures with our HCSR Queen, face painting and bake sales. Of course, each week we always have the mutton bustin’ and calf scramble during the rodeo performance for the kids to “cowboy up.”
