Kristy Meyer - new owner Destinations West
On June 1, Kristy Meyer, owner and General Manager of Teverbaugh Heaton Management Company that runs Beaver Village Condominiums located in Winter Park, Colorado, purchased Destinations West from DiAnn Butler. Kristy has been with Teverbaugh Heaton Management Company since 1989. She began working for the Winter Park property management company at it's inception and then moved her way up from housekeeping to General Manager of the company. She now owns the business and has a staff of employees consisting of reservationists, an office manager, a sales and marketing team along with maintenance and housekeeping departments.
Kristy Meyer and her staff really understand the travel industry beginning with the operations of running a property management company, to homeowner relationships and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. She and her team have a firm grasp on the marketing and sales of her products (condos, now homes, town homes and cabins) while looking for ways to develop new relationships in the travel industry and coming up with new innovative ways to market and sell the business products. Kristy's company has firmly established industry relationships with travel wholesalers/travel agents and is recognized as a company that is flexible and easy to work with in that industry. Her company is also deeply involved with the Winter Park community and is a member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Sales and Marketing council. Kristy's company has a long-standing commitment to the community and is evident through her company involvement with event and local charity sponsorships.
With the purchase of Destinations West, Kristy brings her company experience in the Winter Park Property Management Industry and compliments the business model that DiAnn Butler created for Destinations West. While owning Destinations West, DiAnn restructured her business model to align with all levels of homeowners from VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) to full property management. DiAnn began offering Individual Partnership Agreements with each of her Homeowners, as she recognized that not all second homeowners had the same level of rental and property management needs. This new approach made vacation rentals seamless and turnkey for second homeowners in the vacation rentals business that Kristy, as the new owner, wants to continue with today.
